Like Santa, who has been racing around the world for centuries, racing automobiles have been a source of racing since the construction of the first successful petrol-fueled automobiles. Even before that time people raced in other vehicles such as horse-drawn buggies. The first auto race in the United States took place in Evanston, Illinois on November 28, 1895 with Frank Duryea being the winner. “A need to have speed on land or in the sky is a must in my life!”- Santa
