Wearing a costume of caribou and fur, Santa carries hand-carved toys for children and simply wrapped packages will be placed under the tree. He’ll also include a little message about his friends, the Emperor Penguin family. The Antarctic Santa keeps warm while traveling with his companions, as he has learned well from them. The Emperor Penguins are the only animal that breeds during the harsh Antarctic winter when thousands huddle together for warmth. Every year pairs of Emperor Penguins dutifully raise a single chick. Male penguins incubate the egg for two months without eating a single meal, while females forage for food. The females take over child-rearing duties when they finally return. Warmer winters are now endangering the food supply of this incredible species.
