Santa is having a little problem delivering this toys because the merry bells on  his coat will surely awaken the children! But the ringing of his bells is music to their ears. Jingle Bells, one of our country’s most beloved Christmas tunes, dances through the air and can be heard everywhere during the Christmas season. The words and music were written in 1857 by James Pierpont. He wrote the lyrics for a Thanksgiving program at his church in Boston. Children who performed were asked to repeat their recital during the Christmas season. The lively tune has been a Christmas favorite ever since. Plays Jingle Bells.
