In Southern Germany on the Pegnitz River and the Rhine-Main-Daube Canal lies a city called Nuremberg, one of the greatest historic cities of Germany. Along with this sweet spicy aroma, shopkeepers display Christmas trees decorated with gingerbread cookies. Santa just cannot pass through this city without tasting a cookie or two… or three……, and he will probably take some to tuck into children’s baskets. It just wouldn’t be Christmas without gingerbread!
