More than twenty years ago, Pipka was inspired to paint a Santa on wood for her mother. It was the first Santa she ever painted and it later became this piece – the Russian Father Christmas, who in Russia is lovingly referred to as “Dedushka Moroz.” This Santa ignited a passion for designing Santas from all over the world.
